  • Residents at Pierhead have complained about sewage being leaked into properties

Residents in North Queensferry have been smelling a rat - and raising complaints after sewage was spilled out on to properties at Pierhead.

Pierhead residents have been kicking up a stink over raw sewage which is being spilled out by their properties and onto the beach - with concerns it could be causing health problems.

Local councillor Pat Callaghan said the sewage was being pumped onto the beach behind the Albert Hotel, and that the area across the hotel was also contaminated.
