Raft race kicks off North Queensferry Gala week

  • The tradition of North Queensferry Gala week will be continued starting with the raft race on Sunday 13th June

North Queensferry Gala week gets under way on Sunday 14th June with the highly popular annual raft race - which sets sail from the marina at 2pm.

Organisers are hoping to make this event even bigger and better than ever this year - so if you fancy getting out on the water, making a real splash and having some fun then this event is for you.

Get on your bike on Monday 14th June for the Bike Races, while athletes will be legging it out on Tuesday 14th for the running races.

Wednesday night sees the annual football and netball events, while on Thursday 17th June you could be a star, and show off your skills at the talent show.

Finally, on Friday 18th June there's a chance to gear up for the Gala day by taking part in a scavenger hunt.

And once that's all over, on Saturday 19th June is the Gala Day itself, with stalls, floats, the parade, and of course the crowning of the Gala Queen.

So get out there and support your local Gala, and help to make this year's event bigger and better than ever! Organisers are hoping to see as many people as possible joining in the fun, and supporting what is a great local occasion.
